How to Make a Bag Out Of Wrapping Paper

Step 1
Measure your wrapping paper so your item fits into the center third and has about 2 inches left on the bottom.
Step 2
Remove your item and fold the paper in toward the center evenly on each side. Secure with tape from top to bottom.
Step 3
Fold about 2” of the paper up from the bottom and make a crease. Fold back down, then open the folded bottom into a triangle and crease on each side. Fold the triangle tips down until they meet each other in the middle and secure with tape.
Step 4
Place your gift into the bag.
Step 5
Trim the paper so it ends about 4” from the top of the gift. Fold it down a couple times to make a clean edge and secure it with tape.
Step 6
To make a pom pom, wrap the yarn around 4 fingers until you have enough for a thick pom pom.
Step 7
Take the yarn off your hand and lie it flat. Use a small piece of twine to wrap all around the center of the new yarn ball and tie it tightly.
Step 8
Cut the loops of the yarn ball and fluff to make an even pom pom.
Step 9
Attach the pompom to the top edge of the pouch.
