Chex Mix Recipe with Cereal

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 6 cups Chex cereal, rice or corn

  • 2 cups mini pretzels

  • 1 cup honey roasted peanuts

  • 1 cup salted mixed nuts

  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms

  • 6 oz white chocolate melts

  • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Measure all ingredients.

  2. Add butter and brown sugar to a small saucepan over low heat until melted and dissolved. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the cereal, pretzels, and butter mixture. Gently toss until well combined.

  4. Pour the cereal mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet and spread into an even layer. 

  5. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Once baked, set aside to cool completely.

  6. Once cooled, add the mixed nuts, peanuts, and M&Ms and mix to combine.

  7. Add the white chocolate melts to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring between each cycle until melted.

  8. Once melted, drizzle over the mix. Add sprinkles over the melted chocolate, and allow to harden before transferring to a serving bowl. Enjoy.
